Scott Twp. Fire Department responded to an accident with extrication on January 13, 2012. Initially units were dispatched for an unknown injury accident and while en route PD on scene advised there were injuries and extrication would be needed. Two patients were quickly extricated from their vehicle. LifeFlight was called to the scene to fly one patient.

Scott Twp. Fire Department responded to a second alarm structure fire in McCutchanville on January 10, 2012. Upon the arrival of McCutchanville's chief a second alarm was requested. 4E2 and 4R3 responded to assist at the fire. Crews assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. The fire was reported to have started in the garage when a shop light broke near gasoline.

The Scott Twp. Fire Department took delivery of its newest ambulance on Wednesday December 21, 2011.  The new truck will be housed at Station 1. The new truck will serve as one of our three front line abulances.

Scott Twp. Fire Department responded to an accident with injuries on Interstate 164 on December 8, 2011. While en route dispatch advised there was going to be extrication. Cold temperatures causing slick overpasses was likely a trigger to this accident. Upon arrival units found a passenger vehicle that struck the back of a flat bed tow truck. The pt in the passenger car was trapped in his vehicle and required extensive extrication. Extrication was completed in 16 minutes from the time of arrival of the first unit. McCutchanville 5R5 was also requested to assist with manpower and equipment on this accident. The pt was transported to a local trauma center.

Scott Twp. Fire Department has purchased a third amublance from Braun Ambulances with a Terra Star Chassis. The pictures below are from the manufacturer. Expected delivery date is December 21, 2011 and will be in service shortly after. This vehicle will be the first Terra Star chassis with an extended cab. With the additional staffing added in July, an additional ambulance was needed so there is a reserve apparatus if one of the other ambulances need to go in for service. This apparatus will become 4M1 and the current 4M1 will become 4M3.
